This delightful diptych by Maura Segal recently arrived at the gallery! Cowboy and Ponyboy (Doesn’t she always come up with the best titles?) have minimalist palettes and subtle compositions that give them an airy, playful feel. Segal embellished the pair with her signature paper on canvas technique—in person, the pieces catch the light to reveal a field of pattern and texture. The delicate orange lines look like they were painted on the canvas, but are actually made of thinly cut strips of paper.
