Since meeting in Bali several years ago, Spanish artists Teresa Calderon and Mersuka Dopazo have collaborated to create large-scale mixed-media collages. Full of pattern and texture, their works have a lively, improvised energy. Pink Lady exhibits these same qualities, but goes further into abstraction than the duo’s previous figurative works. Layers of text, paint drips, and gestural lines come together in this dynamic piece.
