Last week, Merritt Gallery Pop-Up Annex in Chevy Chase, MD, joined together with Word Dance Theater to host an enchanting evening of dance, poetry and art. Dancers from Word Dance Theater performed historic dances choreographed by the legendary Isadora Duncan, the “Mother of Modern Dance,” throughout the gallery. Washington DC based writer and poet Rose Solari also provided a captivating live reading of some of her latest original works. A large community turn-out attended, enjoying the creative experience of artistic expression and evening mingles amidst fine art. Take a look at some of our highlights from the successful event!
