Amy Donaldson’s piece, “Inspired Grace,” radiates energy, depth and emotion with its animated composition and range of blues and warmer accents. Donaldson achieves such color and depth with a fusion of crushed, powdered natural pigments with oil paint which she applies in an expressive manner. Donaldson uses tools other than traditional brushes to add and subtract from each of her pieces, building and carving out layers as if sculpting her mixed media works of art.
