Renowned artist, Jean Duquoc, has always been inspired by his native Brittany, France. Whether it be the landscape, the horizon, the sea, or the people that inhabit the region, Duquoc is constantly finding inspiration in his homeland. As important to him as the beauty of the area is Brittany’s strong sense of its Celtic cultural heritage. Duquoc is influenced by Celtic music, which he listens to as he paints. Through the experience of hearing this music and creating work inspired by the Brittany landscape, he celebrates his region and personal history. The following is a small glimpse of his work intermixed with scenes of the Brittany coast and countryside.
